3 weeks in to isolation…. Netflix might be wondering if we are hiding a crush

April 17, 2020

A young jockey, just out of his apprenticeship and his stable lass girlfriend make the decision to get married after the Australian Spring Carnival. Everything is planned out but the honeymoon is a bit of a sore point.

The service and reception go without a hitch and the couple set off on their honeymoon. Given he has had a fairly handy year in the saddle, combined with her noise about never having travelled overseas, he decides to splash out for a handy break.

They head to Italy and the romantic mecca that is Rome. Check-in comes (hahahahaha…..), and the lady behind the desk asks ‘We have two suites available for you, sir. A Standard, or given you are newlyweds, would you like the bridal?’

The little bloke thinks about it, realising that he didn’t specify when he booked.

He looks at her, and recognises that she has only been in the game for about 12 months……

He turns back to the receptionist and says, “Don’t worry about the bridle.  I’ll just hold her ears till she gets the hang of it!’

It’s all in the details…..

BEST BETS – HORSES

All Aged Stakes Day at Randwick this Saturday and in the feature the top weight No.1 Trekking gets the nod from us. If this racecourse was a mare, he would marry it given how much he loves it (though he is a gelding, so there could be some issues on the wedding night)… details aside…. “He” loves it here and the $5.50 on offer is too good for us.

Our best bet of the day is R3, No.2 Rubisaki which won’t break any records. But… Has won 5 on the trot and will love the track conditions. Get involved at $1.60.

Winning!
