NRL Round 10 – Punt Club

NRL Round 10

May 12, 2021

Round 10 heralds ‘Magic Round’ where every game comes from Suncorp Stadium from Friday through to Sunday. It’s a magical throwback to the under 12’s days where junior footy carnivals once thrived. Oranges at halftime, multiple games in a day, a pie and coke to celebrate. Take me back!

Ladbrokes have $2 lines for Friday’s games. Let’s find a winner or two, last week both our best bets got up!

Wests Tigers ($2.60) VS Newcastle Knights ($1.50) – Suncorp Stadium

Both teams have really struggled to hit their straps this season. The Knights have Crossland still filling in at halfback and the Tigers have shifted Mbye into the halves, this shapes as a game played between the two 20m lines. Points might be of a premium.

Suggested Bet – Total match points under 43.5 @ $1.90

Manly Sea Eagles ($1.36) VS Brisbane Broncos ($3.10) – Suncorp Stadium

Brisbane have been slowly improving but they come up against a Manly side that has gone to another level since the inclusion of Turbo Tom. If Manly can hold their own in the middle of the field they can run away with this as Brisbane don’t look to have too many points in them.

Suggested Bet – Manly Sea Eagles -8.5 @ $2

Canterbury Bulldogs ($5.60) VS Canberra Raiders ($1.14) – Suncorp Stadium

Two teams who are really struggling. The Raiders have struggled for points so far this season and everyone is aware of the Bulldogs lack of attack. More than happy to dive into the unders.

Suggested Bet – Total match points under 42.5 @ $1.90

Cronulla Sharks ($3) VS South Sydney Rabbitohs ($1.38) – Suncorp stadium

Both teams are looking to bounce back after humiliating defeats when kept scoreless. The Bunnies get the inclusion of halfback Adam Reynolds and they will look a completely different football team in this. Bunnies to bounce back.

Suggested Bet – South Sydney Rabbitohs -7.5 @ $1.90

Sydney Roosters ($1.25) VS North Queensland Cowboys ($3.90) – Suncorp Stadium

The Roosters are one injury away from Bryan Fletcher getting a call up! Fair dinkum, they have had some troops go down, replacement half Drew Hutchinson being the latest. The Cows have been slowly improving under new coach Todd Payten and are starting to play a full 80 minutes. They can pinch this.

Suggested Bet – North Queensland Cowboys +12 @ $1.90

New Zealand Warriors ($3.10) VS Parramatta Eels ($1.36) – Suncorp Stadium

The Eels come into this mighty short and will be without their five eighth Dylan Brown. The Warriors will be intent on shutting down Mitch Moses, and if they do so, they can go on and win this game.

Suggested bet – New Zealand Warriors +8 @ $1.90

Melbourne Storm ($1.14) VS St George Illawarra Dragons ($5.50) – Suncorp Stadium

The mail is that Ryan Papenhuyzen will make his return from injury and push Hynes into the halves with Munster, Grant and Smith all on the sidelines. Papenhuyzen’s return sees Melbourne actually have a goal kicker, which will help rack up the points in what should be a free flowing game of footy.

Suggested bet – Total match points over 44 @ $1.90

Gold Coast Titans ($7.25) VS Penrith Panthers ($1.09) – Suncorp Stadium

This should be a very fast game of footy with plenty of end to end action and repeat sets. The Titans will be without the beast that is David Fifita and Penrith are, well, Penrith…The fast ruck should see plenty of points.

Suggested bet – Total match points over 42.5 @ $1.90
